Last night I go back to the B Hut and watched a movie with Navy Seals... GI Jane, yeah I know not really a Seals Movie but they had a miossion at the end.. So slept through the night and got up at about 0900, put on my shorts and headed down to the Motor Pool... Nothing really goin on so I ate chow at the dining hall, eggs, bacon, and fruit... Then I headed over and talked to Stacie for about an hour, she's doing good.. She signed up on a forum that I use for information on eating clean and lifting hard. If I havent told you already I lost 23lbs since 1 March and have a lot of goals to meet before I lay my feet back on US soil.
This Afternoon after taking a 3 hour nap, I went back to the Motor Pool and found out that I am scheduled on a chopper to leave on Sat the 17th, do't know what time though.. This is going to be short bbecause I wrote a whole bunch and the power went out and I dont feel like retyping....
Went to the Gym and ran a 5K, then headed down to the boardwalk and saw an old friend, MSgt Max Porras (retired)... If you knew me back in 2003 when I deployed to Iraq, during the war, you knew the past me and him had... He is now working over here flying all over the place, doing I don't know.... After the gym I headed back to the Motor Poll and called Stacie and the girls... Stacie was telling me how she found my x-girl friend on Facebook. Anna Moreno is probably one of the biggest B!t*&s you would ever meet, and I always said "thats why I liked her" but I am feeling real soory for her husband.... We had a few laughs and then it was off to the shower and the nightly movie, Hurt Locker....

Last night I got back to the B-Hut (name of the large open room made out of plywood with 40 bunk beds) and there was a scheduled power outage that noone know anything about. I was a little upset, because I was copying movies from one hard drive to the other, what can I do....
This morning is a slow morning like most in the days of waiting for travel.. I turned my computer back on to see the status of my file transfers, to my surprise it automatically started where it left off, Awesome... I got dressed in a pair of shorts and a running shirt and heading down to the Motor Pool to see what might be on the agenda for the day.. In the process I took my laundry to the laundry room and 2 of the 3 washers are broke.. I put my stuff on top of the being used only washer and heading to the Motor Pool... The duty day starts here at 0900 and the Motor Sgt and Chief were nowhere to be found, so I hung out until they showed up at 0930.. By the time they got there i went and put my laundry in the dryer.. Motor Sgt just told me to come back after a 1430 (2:30PM) meeting we have with Air Force Commander that supports us here.. So I left there and went back to the B Hut grabbed my shower shoes and towel and took a shower.. After that went to the Morale tent and called home, Callie is so excited that she moved up to Level 3 Swimming and jumping off the diving board at the age of 6.. Stacie is just living from day to day and gonna start training to do ultiple 5-10K runs over the summer... She was gonna do a 1/2 marathon, but I hear no talk of that....
Well after I got off the phone I went to fold and put my laundry away... Its about 1130 and I am kind of getting a appetite, so I went to lunch... After lunch I relaxed and watched a movie (Taken) until about 1400 (2:00PM) where I got ready to go to this appointment.... Basically the appointment I had was with the Air Force Commander, Chief, and 1st Shirt telling us that they are there to support us when the Army is trying to get us to do something we are not qualified to do...
After the meeting went back to Motor Pool and found out I needed to coordinate a flight for one of the guys here to fly out in a couple hours... I took Johnsons ID to the PAX terminal while he packed came back and had just enough time to stuff myself of Mexican Food, I am still real full... After dinner I waited at the PAX terminal until SrA Johnson made it through security... Then I came here to write and the rest of the night I m going to realx in Bed...

Waiting on Airlift to FOB
Aiight been a couple days since I last posted... I made it to Kandehar and been here for about 3 days now... This place is got some crazy night life down by the boardwalk, they have TGI-Fridays, Pizza Hut, Subway, BK, 3 different coffee places, Ice cream, etc.... The boardwalk is about 2-3 acres in the middle with a football field, roller hockey rink, Basketball courts, and volleyball.... I drove over to the Gym in this Toyota Tacoma lifted 4" on 37's, crazy huh... after the gym I went and hang around the Boardwalk..
Just found out I'll be working with Navy Seals, FOB Mogensen... Sounds interesting, I got a lot more info, but I cant talk about it on here... I will probably be here for a few more days waiting on the chopper to take me out.... Well I'm not the greatest typer, so we'll work on that...

Waiting on Airlift
I've been in Bagram for 3 days now waiting on airlift to Kandehar... Whats up my name is SSgt Rob Wallach, been in the Air Force for 18+ years... Yeah I know, your still a SSgt??? Its alright some have priorities and some have different priorities... This is my 7th deployment to the desert, but this is probably by far going to be the most interesting and dangerous deployment ever. My prior 6 deployments have been to Daharan, Saudi Arabia (93), Ali Al Salem, Kuwait (96/2000), Baghdad, Iraq (03), Manas AB, Kyrghastan (06), Al Dhafra, UAE (08), and fianlly Afghanistan 2010. I am attached to a Special Operation Task Force, I dont know exactly where I am going, but it will be in the middle of no where...
I was welcomed to Bagram, Afghanistan at 0445 on 7 April 2010 by an old friend that I used to party with in Korea (95/96). Brian hadn't changed a bit, this guy is a bonified nut... He hooked up me and all 11 other Air Force Mechanics with transporation to our new home for the next 3-5 days. Nothing but white space for the next couple days.......
